OUR ONGOING WORK IN JAMAICA

 

We value the culture and work ethic of this third world country and have continued our work among the poor of this little island nation since 1999.  We have maintained a HOPE CHARITABLE SERVICES National Coordinator in Jamaica since our first mission and have conducted many humanitarian relief and social projects across the Island.  As of 2013 we have built and furnished three community clinics; furnished three major hospital departments and two additional clinics; furnished two orphanages and one old age home; and built 72 simple homes for the poor. 

 

From our Virginia Warehouse and partner Humanitarian Relief Organizations across the United States we have shipped dozens of forty-foot containers filled with food, clothing, school supplies, furnishings, medical equipment and building material that is distributed by our national coordinator.  Our goods are shared in the inner city areas of Kingston and Montego Bay and rural poverty pockets across the island.   We partner with missionaries, NGOs (Non Government Organizations), orphanages, homes for the elderly and handicapped, local churches, denominational offices and various government ministries.

 

Our mission teams have built homes, remodeled and repaired orphanages, clinics, schools and old age homes. Over the years, we have led teams that have fed more than 1,500 children daily (totaling over 75,000 meals), distributed more than 13,000 BUCKETS OF HOPE, 576 MISSIONARY BARRELS and built 72 simple homes for the poor. We have conducted medical clinics with physicians, nurses and pharmacist, educational intensive programs, evangelistic crusades: academi, social outreach, cultural fairs and peace conferences.
