FURNITURE BANK

 

Since our very first day in ministry, we have provided beds and essential furnishings for children, families, disabled and the elderly in need. Through strategic partnerships our receipt of quality furniture has increased. Last alone we received and distributed more than 70 tractor trailer loads (more than 22,000 pieces) of solid wood furniture, quality mattresses and upholstered furniture.

 

We have had to borrow free warehouse space and move three times in the past 12 months. When the donated space is no longer available we have to move.  Presently we are without space and operating form storage trailers.  All of this is greatly restricting the good that we can do.

 

Currently we are praying and working toward organizing our own furniture bank as a department.  We will need a permanent 12,000 square foot warehouse space, at least one additional 24-foot box truck, three 53-foot semi-trailers a director/volunteer coordinate and the operating budget.
