HOPE HOUSE
Providing transformational and intentioinal-community housing and supportative services for the homeless . . .
Since 1993 HOPE has provided emergency shelter and transitional housing to the homeless in our region through our HOPE HOUSE. Our strength is community based supportive services and practical resourcing, but Peer Supportative Services is the direction in which we are moving.
Urban Missionary staff oversee the house as loving and caring house parents. Licensed providers provide case management and social/psych services . All residents are provided with life’s basic essentials, practical assistance and support in becoming self-sufficient.
The little home-lessons that many successful people learned have not been taught or modeled to most of those who find themselves homeless. Our missionary staff becomes an “ad hoc” family, providing the tender persistence of a caring mother, the gentle insistence of a father and the support of an extended family.
****Please note that we are not the Hope House Foundation of Norfolk.

Due to relocating and transition, the HOPE HOUSE is temporarily not taking referrals.
MISSION STATMENT
HOPE HOUSE is a self-sustaining transformational and intentional-community housing program for the chronic homeless…
With the support of Regent University’s School of Business and Leadership, HOPE has fostered a community based LLC that allows conscientious investors to work together corporately with local to purchase a home, use HOPE’s workforce development program to rehab it and lease the rooms to HOPE’s clients at a rate about half that of the typical boarding house. The investors receive a rate of return higher than traditional investments while providing a sustainable affordable housing solution for the poor. HOPE’s staff and community partners provide mentoring, case management and supervision.
